How to set up Fitbit controls

After downloading the Notification Playback app, follow these steps to get notifications sent to your Fitbit device:

Step 1: Open the Fitbit app

Navigate to the top left corner of the Fitbit app and select the device icon.
Select your Fitbit device.
Select 'Notifications' and then 'App Notifications'.
Select 'Notification playback' and check the box.

Step 2: Open Spotify

You do not need to play any music, just open the app.

Step 3: Open Notification Playback

First time users

Open the Notification Playback app and DO NOT press the connect to spotify button
Now switch apps to Spotify and wait for Authorization request
After aggreeing switch back to Notification Playback and click 'Connect to Spotify'

Not first time users

Connect by tapping 'Connect to Spotify' on the Notification Playback app.

Step 4: Control playback from your Fitbit device

If successful, you should now get a notification with the track name and artist on your Fitbit.

Step 5: Disconnect from Spotify when you're done

Click the 'Disconnect from Spotify' button in the Notification Playback app.

By following these steps, you should be able to control Spotify on your Fitbit device. If you have any issues:

Force Stop the Notification Playback and Spotify apps and try again.
Turn on Mirror my phone in fitbit app settings for your watch.
Make sure you have the latest version of the Notification Playback app.
